What makes Maison Rose different?

Maison Rose was created from a love of beautiful fragrance and a desire to be more intentional about the products we bring into our homes and everyday routines.

From our soy candles to our artisan soaps and bath essentials, we focus on carefully selected ingredients, scents worth obsessing over, and products designed to look just as beautiful in your space as they smell.

Maison Rose is a family-run Canadian brand, with many of our products handmade in small batches in our Woodbridge, Ontario workshop.

What are Maison Rose candles made with?

Our candles are made with soy wax, cotton wicks, and carefully selected fragrance blends.

Our candle fragrance oils are phthalate-free, and our candles are made without paraffin wax.

Why does Maison Rose use soy wax?

Soy wax has been at the heart of Maison Rose since the beginning. We chose this plant-based wax to create beautifully scented candles that provide a slow, even burn when cared for properly.

Are Maison Rose candles paraffin-free?

Yes. Maison Rose candles are made with soy wax and do not contain paraffin wax.

Are your candle fragrances phthalate-free?

Yes. The fragrance oils used in our candles are phthalate-free.

Do you use essential oils or fragrance oils?

It depends on the product.

Our products may be scented with essential oils, fragrance oils, or a blend of the two, depending on the formulation and scent we are creating.

Some of our artisan soaps feature essential oils, while others use carefully selected fragrance oils. Please refer to each individual product page for specific ingredient information.

What are your artisan soaps made with?

Our artisan soaps are handmade using a combination of oils and butters, along with ingredients such as clays, botanicals, essential oils and/or fragrance oils depending on the variety.

How are your soaps made?

Our artisan soaps are handmade using the cold-process method and are given time to properly cure before they’re ready to be enjoyed.

Depending on the variety, we may incorporate oils, butters, clays, botanicals, essential oils, fragrance oils and other ingredients to create each bar’s individual scent, appearance and experience.

What are your bath salts made with?

Our bath salts are created with mineral salt blends such as Epsom and Himalayan salts, combined with scent and selected botanicals depending on the variety.

Some blends may include dried flowers, essential oils and/or fragrance oils. Please refer to each individual product page for specific ingredients.

Are Maison Rose products vegan?

Many Maison Rose products are vegan. Because formulations can vary between products and collections, please refer to the individual product description for specific ingredient information.

Are Maison Rose products natural?

Maison Rose takes a clean-first approach rather than making a blanket “100% natural” claim across every product.

We use ingredients such as soy wax, essential oils, mineral salts, botanicals, oils and butters alongside carefully selected fragrance oils and other ingredients depending on the formulation.

Are Maison Rose products handmade?

Many Maison Rose products are handmade and produced in small batches.

Because handmade products are individually made, slight variations in colour, finish, crystal placement, botanical placement or appearance may naturally occur. These small differences are part of what makes each piece unique.

Where are Maison Rose products made?

Maison Rose is a family-run Canadian brand based in Woodbridge, Ontario.

Many of our products are handmade, prepared and packaged in our local workshop.

Do you have a physical store?

Maison Rose offers in-person shopping and order pickup at our Woodbridge location by appointment only.

How long do Maison Rose candles burn?

Burn time depends on the candle size, vessel and proper candle care.

Our 10 oz Maison candles typically provide approximately 50–60 hours of burn time when burned and maintained correctly.

Burn times for other candle sizes can be found on their individual product pages.

How long should I burn my candle at a time?

For the best results, allow enough time during the first burn for the melted wax to reach close to the edges of the vessel.

We recommend burning your candle for no more than approximately four hours at a time and always following the candle care and safety instructions provided with your candle.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Why should I trim my candle wick?

Trimming your wick helps promote a cleaner, more controlled burn and can reduce excess soot, mushrooming and an overly large flame.

Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch (6 mm) and remove any wick debris before lighting.

What are the crystals in your candles for?

Our Crystal and Zodiac collections pair beautiful fragrance with crystals selected for their beauty, symbolism, and the meanings traditionally associated with them.

Each pairing is designed to complement the inspiration, intention or energy behind the candle.

Can I keep the crystals from my candle?

Yes! The crystals in our candles can be kept after you’ve finished enjoying your candle.

Allow the candle and wax to cool completely before carefully removing and cleaning the crystals.

Can I burn Maison Rose candles around pets?

Yes! Maison Rose candles are made with soy wax, cotton wicks and phthalate-free fragrance oils and are formulated with pet-friendly homes in mind.

That said, every pet is different, and sensitivities can vary depending on the animal, fragrance and environment. We always recommend burning candles in a well-ventilated space, keeping candles and scented products safely out of reach of pets, and never leaving a burning candle unattended.

If your pet has specific sensitivities, respiratory concerns or other health conditions, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian about individual fragrances or ingredients.

Do you offer gifts and self-care packages?

Do you offer party favours?

Yes. Maison Rose creates party favours for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, corporate events and other celebrations.

Can I place a large or corporate order?

Yes. We welcome larger gifting, event and corporate orders.

How long does it take to process my order?

Most orders are processed within 3–5 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.

Processing times may be slightly longer during launches, promotions and busy holiday periods. You’ll receive shipping confirmation and tracking information once your order has shipped.

Where does Maison Rose ship?

Maison Rose ships to eligible destinations shown at checkout. Available shipping options and rates are calculated based on your order and delivery location.

International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, tariffs or other import charges depending on the destination.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes. Local pickup is available from our Woodbridge, Ontario location.

We’ll notify you when your order is ready. Please wait until you receive your pickup confirmation before visiting.

In-person shopping and order pickup are available by appointment only.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us at info@maisonrose.co within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include your name, order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of the product and packaging. Our team will review the issue and help with the appropriate next steps.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because of the nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.

If your product arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so our team can review the issue.
